Step #1 - Verify / Checklist

1. Verify – Does your vehicle have factory cargo attachment points in the trunk or cargo area?

If none, skip to Step #5.

2. Identify – What type of attachment devices are installed – D-Ring, T-Head, Knob Head or Molded?

Tidy T'OwL accommodates all four attachment devices pictured below.

3. Locate – Where are the attachment points?

Tidy T’OwL bumper cover is designed to work best with attachment devices located in the lower inside corners of the trunk or cargo area (as a guide, see 'recommended installation areas' in the photo below). If not in the recommended areas, skip to Step #5.

4. Measure – What is the distance between the factory attachment points?

Based on the vehicle model, sometimes the factory attachment points are too high up or too far back to use. Tidy T’OwL bumper cover is designed to work within a range of 30” – 50” (76cm – 127cm). If the distance is greater than or less than the recommended range or not within the recommended installation areas, skip to Step #5.

5. T-Head Fasteners are offered by Tidy T’OwL should you need them – click here.

6. Installation Instructions & Video for the T-Head Fasteners ...

1). Determine best placement for a T-Head Fastener on the sidewalls or floor of the cargo area, as close as possible to the bottom edge and each side edge of the cargo area opening without interfering with the closing of the trunk lid or rear cargo door/hatch (see photo above).

2). Make sure that you are drilling into metal frame or solid plastic.

3). Mark the ideal location with a marker.

4). At the marking, drill a 7/32” (5 mm) pilot hole into the concealed metal or solid plastic of the cargo area.

5). Insert the screw of each fastener into the hole and tighten securely by hand.

IMPORTANT —

• Do not overtighten screws.

• If needed, consult with an automotive service professional for advice and/or assistance to assure a secure and correct installation.

• NOTE: this is not intended to be used as a hold down for heavier cargo.
